Commercial Air Test — Checklist Before Site Visit
Please ensure all items below are completed before our engineer arrives on site. Adequate preparation is essential to achieving a successful air tightness test result for your commercial building.
Items to Complete Before the Test
- All ventilation outlets above 2.5 metres high must be sealed before we arrive on site (including air conditioning vents and grilles)
- All external doors fitted and closed
- All external windows fitted and closed
- All internal doors open
- All drainage traps filled with water
- Loft access hatch closed
- Fireplaces sealed / flues blocked
- All trickle vents closed (not sealed) — including Velux windows
- All builders work fully completed
- All sockets and light switches fitted
- All downlighters fitted
- All cracks or holes in the fabric of walls, floors or ceilings caulked or filled before the engineer arrives on site
- Mains 240V electricity available on site
Do Not Seal These Items
- Seals to external doors
- Seals to windows or sills
- Seals to drains or sills
- Seals to trickle vents
- Seals to loft access hatch
Important Notice
The engineer’s site visit is allocated a maximum of 90 minutes. If the visit exceeds this time, a surcharge of £90 per hour will be applied.
